Elyse Sunshine Presents to OKA

On May 7, Elyse Sunshine presented to the Ontario Kinesiology Association at their Spring Education Day at the Centre for Health and Safety Innovation in Mississauga. Elyse discussed hot topics in professional regulation. Areas covered in this presentation included: transparency, use of specialist titles, regulation of clinics, treatment of close family members and health professional advertising.

In addition, Elyse provided an overview some of the important cases from the past year and how they impact on health professionals such as: compliance with orders of the College (Botros and CPSO), resignation to avoid revocation (Dumchin and CNO), sexual abuse (Hanif and OCP), and privacy  (Calvano and CNO).
