Medico-Legal Society of Toronto’s ‘A Potpourri of Medico-legal Cases’

On Thursday, September 28, Lonny Rosen will Chair and Emma Gardiner will present at the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto’s A Potpourri of Medico-legal cases. This annual MLST dinner program will cover recent cases and topics including: 

• a health college’s authority to regulate social media postings by professionals

• regulatory action addressing racial/cultural bias in delivery of health care

• the impact of an assessor’s reliance on a report instead of source material

• challenges and appeals of OHIP decisions

• and whether ordering bloodwork and chest X-rays is necessary for an emergency physician to meet the standard of care.
