Personal Health Information Management: A Changing Landscape
December 3-4, 2019 at the Living Arts Centre, Mississauga Ontario
This conference offers organizations regulated by the Personal Health Information Protection Act in Ontario. With the help of experts in the field, attendees will explore the connections between access to health information, privacy, information security, and records management in order to more effectively manage their privacy risks up-front, and respond more effectively if things go wrong.
Sari Feferman and Clancy Catelin, lawyers with Rosen Sunshine LLP, will be teaching a workshop that will provide an overview of the principles of Ontario privacy legislation and how to implement that into practice, including safeguarding personal health information, managing privacy breaches and mandatory reporting, complying with the legislation and mitigating risks. Join them for “PHIPA: The Basics” Tuesday, December 3, 8:45 am – 12:00 pm.
